Entry - Free with eligible Saturday admission; entry issued at event

What's up for grabs?

One lucky winner will receive VicDrift's unregistered, white BMW E36 coupe beginner drift car, plus a beginner drift tuition experience offered on Sunday 22 November 2026 at Drift X, subject to the safety and participation requirements below.

The BMW build

  • BMW E36 coupe, unregistered, freshly painted white
  • ZEEMAX wide-body kit
  • Spare front bumper / front bar
  • Pair of race seats and harnesses
  • Hydraulic handbrake
  • Coilover suspension
  • Locked differential
  • Dual rear brake caliper setup
  • Stock BMW 15-inch rims (included with the vehicle)
  • Guaranteed engine upgrade before handover: BMW M54B22 2.2-litre inline-six petrol engine with dual VANOS variable valve timing, installed in the E36 and running before the vehicle is handed to the winner. The engine upgrade is included in the prize, not an optional future modification or a separately supplied engine.

Important: This car does not include a roll cage. It is not registered or supplied with a roadworthy certificate and must not be driven on public roads unless it separately meets applicable legal requirements.

Car currently under construction: The M54B22 engine will be installed and running before winner handover, no later than 28 days after the draw. The car will be supplied on stock BMW 15-inch rims. Images, concept renders and promotional mock-ups are examples only: the finished car may differ cosmetically, but the expressly listed equipment, stock BMW 15-inch rims, and the installed, running M54B22 engine remain guaranteed prize inclusions.

How to enter

03Remain at the event for the live 7:30 pm Saturday draw in front of the crowd. The winning numbered stub will be drawn from the barrel and announced publicly; the winner must be available to verify their entry and identity.

Draft eligibility is currently Victorian residents aged 18+. Entry is only obtained with the physical numbered ticket at Calder Park on Saturday. The same-premises presence rule and the club’s trade-promotion eligibility require regulator confirmation before these terms are published.

Official giveaway terms & conditions

Drift X 2026 BMW Beginner Drift Car Trade Promotion Lottery

1. Promoter

The promoter is Victorian Drift Club Inc (VicDrift) (Promoter), an incorporated not-for-profit motorsport club and the organiser of Drift X 2026. Enquiries: info@vicdrift.com. This promotion is conducted to promote admission to the Drift X 2026 event.

2. Promotion period

The giveaway starts only when the first numbered lottery entry is issued at the Drift X event premises on Saturday 21 November 2026. Entry is available solely through issuing physical numbered giveaway tickets at Calder Park Raceway during Saturday event gate/check-in and closes at 7:00 pm AEDT on Saturday 21 November 2026 (closing time to be confirmed before final publication). The public draw is scheduled for 7:30 pm AEDT that day, within 24 hours of the giveaway commencing.

Event admission tickets may be bought online before Saturday, but advance ticket purchase is not itself an entry into the giveaway. No physical giveaway tickets or lottery entries will be issued online, in advance, by post, through Shopify, or away from the Calder Park event premises. The physical attendee must collect the entry at the gate on Saturday; the giveaway does not begin with advance admission sales.

3. Who can enter

Entry is open to natural persons who are aged 18 or older and ordinarily resident in Victoria, Australia, and who attend Drift X at Calder Park Raceway on Saturday 21 November 2026 using a qualifying paid admission ticket. Entrants must be physically present at the live draw and must be able to show the matching numbered entry ticket and proof of identity when requested. VicDrift committee members, employees and contractors directly involved in administering or drawing this promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible.

Interstate visitors: Only Victorian residents are eligible under these terms. Visitors from other states may still attend Drift X but are not eligible for this giveaway.

4. How entries are allocated

One (1) free entry is available for each valid, paid admission or participant ticket that includes access to Drift X on Saturday 21 November, including Saturday spectator admission, two-day admission and paid driver entry where Saturday venue access is included, only when a qualifying attendee physically presents their unique event admission and checks in at the Calder Park gate on Saturday. Saturday admission tickets purchased in advance may be used to obtain an onsite entry, but do not automatically enter their purchaser into the lottery. Normal advertised admission prices will not be increased for the giveaway, and there is no separate lottery entry charge.

At the designated Saturday entrance/check-in gate at Calder Park Raceway, authorised VicDrift staff will verify the qualifying paid admission and issue one uniquely numbered, two-part physical giveaway ticket, on site and on the day only. The entrant keeps the numbered attendee portion, and VicDrift places/retains the corresponding identically numbered stub in the supervised draw barrel. The entry is completed on the event premises at the time the stub is accepted by VicDrift, not when an admission is purchased or booked online. Entrants should verify that both halves carry the same legible number.

The entry belongs to the eligible attendee who physically collects their numbered ticket at Saturday check-in, not necessarily the person who originally purchased the admission. The fact that a ticket was purchased by somebody else does not make the purchaser an entrant. An eligible group attendee may receive one entry for their own paid admission when checked in. Each admission ticket can generate no more than one stub and cannot be used again. VicDrift will keep a contemporaneous log of ticket numbers and sufficient identifying/contact information to enable verification, written notification and audit.

Sunday-only admissions, complimentary passes, free child entries, unpaid reservations and registrations that do not carry a valid paid Saturday admission are excluded under these draft terms. Paid Saturday driver admissions are eligible where Saturday venue access is included. Reversed/refunded/invalid admission payments and duplicate entries are excluded. No remote, postal, online, proxy or pre-event entry is available. If an eligible entrant loses their physical ticket, VicDrift may verify their identity against the contemporaneous entry register; a lost paper ticket alone does not authorise an arbitrary substitution or forfeiture of a legitimately drawn prize.

5. Prize

There is one (1) prize package, comprising:

  1. One used BMW E36 coupe beginner drift car, unregistered and modified for intended off-road/motorsport use, in white, with ZEEMAX wide-body kit, spare front bar, two race seats and harnesses, hydraulic handbrake, coilovers, locked differential, dual brake calipers and stock BMW 15-inch rims. The prize includes a BMW M54B22 2.2-litre dual-VANOS inline-six petrol engine, installed in the vehicle and running before handover. The build is underway at the time of advertising. The engine will not be provided loose or separately, and the winner will not be responsible for installing it. VicDrift will complete this engine installation before transfer of the vehicle, which must take place within 28 days of the draw (by 19 December 2026). The car has no roll cage. The BMW has been freshly painted in white.
  2. One beginner drift tuition experience offered by VicDrift at Calder Park Raceway on Sunday 22 November 2026, with an instructor and an appropriate event-approved vehicle. The lesson duration and what is supplied, including any required licence and equipment costs, must be confirmed before publication.

The BMW is a used, modified motorsport project. It is not being offered as a registered, roadworthy or road-legal vehicle. No registration, roadworthy certificate or representation that the car will be eligible for any particular motorsport event or class is included. Race seats, harnesses and other equipment must be assessed for suitability and compliance before use. In particular, lack of a roll cage may prevent participation in some VicDrift activities.

The BMW will be supplied with all expressly listed inclusions, including the installed and running M54B22 engine. The engine must be running at handover, but no promise is made that the car is roadworthy, registered, or approved for any particular event or track. Illustrative images are not a guarantee of the precise cosmetic appearance or bodywork finish; however, the prize will include stock BMW 15-inch rims. Except as required by law, no cash alternative is offered. Any substitution of the prize will occur only as permitted by Victorian trade promotion law, including the applicable equal-or-greater-value requirements.

6. Draw

The draw will be conducted LIVE in front of the crowd at 7:30 pm AEDT on Saturday 21 November 2026, at VicDrift's announced draw location within Calder Park Raceway, 377 Calder Freeway, Calder Park VIC 3037. Lottery entry is available only when eligible attendees receive their physical numbered giveaway ticket at the Saturday gate on these same premises, starting on Saturday and ending at the Closing Time above. Earlier Shopify ticket purchases do not create entries. Entrants must remain at the event and be present when the draw is conducted. These onsite-entry and attendance requirements are intended to operate under regulation 63(1) of the Gambling Regulations 2026.

VicDrift will mix all valid, uniquely numbered entry stubs in a supervised barrel and randomly draw one stub before the audience. Every valid stub will have an equal opportunity of selection. The number will be announced publicly; the corresponding entrant will be asked to present their matching numbered ticket and satisfactory proof of identity to VicDrift personnel at the draw. The original drawn stub, entry register, draw record and witness details will be retained.

Only one winning number will be selected, except where a lawful substitute draw becomes necessary under clause 7 and regulation 64. A drawn entry is not automatically invalid merely because no one responds immediately to the announcement. A separate entry-number register will assist VicDrift in verifying the drawn entrant and making reasonable identification attempts before any legally permitted substitute draw.

7. Winner notification and publication

The winning number will be announced live at the event immediately after the draw. Entrants must remain present for the draw; the matching physical ticket is the normal evidence of entitlement. VicDrift will verify the drawn entrant against the matching numbered stub and an onsite entry register, announce and notify the winner at the event, and record the result. VicDrift will also give the verified winner written notification of the prize and handover arrangements, using the contact details recorded when the onsite entry was issued.

If the drawn ticket holder does not immediately come forward, VicDrift will make reasonable efforts at the venue and using the entry register to identify the entrant. An additional draw and substitute winner may occur only if the original winner is not readily identifiable and reasonable identification efforts have been unsuccessful, in accordance with regulation 64 of the Gambling Regulations 2026. VicDrift will document those efforts and any substitute draw. Ineligibility and fraudulent entries will be handled consistently with applicable law.

The verified winner's name will be published on this VicDrift giveaway page on Monday 23 November 2026, for a minimum of 28 days. VicDrift will not require the winner to consent to extra promotional photos, interviews or video to claim the prize.

8. Handover, ownership and transport

The vehicle prize, with its BMW M54B22 engine installed and running, will be transferred to a readily identifiable winner within 28 days after the draw (no later than 19 December 2026). The engine installation is VicDrift's obligation and no engine fitting costs are payable by the winner. VicDrift will arrange a handover at no charge to the winner at Calder Park Raceway or another mutually agreed Victorian handover site and provide an appropriate written proof-of-transfer/receipt recording vehicle identity, including the VIN. The winner will not be charged a fee to accept the prize.

The vehicle must not be driven on public roads while unregistered. The winner must make lawful arrangements for any subsequent movement or storage of the vehicle, including any optional freight or transport they choose to arrange following the no-charge handover. VicDrift will not charge for the vehicle, documents or acceptance of the prize. The winner is responsible for any later voluntary modifications, registration applications, roadworthy inspections, maintenance and ongoing use of the vehicle.

9. Sunday tuition

The winner will be offered beginner drift tuition on Sunday 22 November 2026, subject to safe event operation, the instructor's assessment, venue and motorsport rules, and the winner meeting the relevant licence, medical fitness, safety equipment and waiver requirements. The tuition may take place in a VicDrift-approved instructional vehicle and is not a promise that the giveaway BMW can be driven on Sunday.

If the winner is unable to attend on Sunday, or safe tuition cannot take place due to event disruption or safety requirements, VicDrift will reasonably arrange an alternative tuition opportunity of at least equivalent value at no additional prize acceptance cost, subject to applicable law. The winner remains entitled to the BMW regardless of their ability to participate in tuition.

10. Changes and exceptional events

VicDrift may verify entries and exclude entries affected by proven fraud, payment reversal or material breaches of these rules, acting reasonably and consistently with applicable law. VicDrift will not arbitrarily change the method of entry, draw or prize after the promotion opens. If circumstances beyond VicDrift's reasonable control prevent the scheduled draw, VicDrift will publish updated arrangements as soon as reasonably practicable and comply with all applicable legal requirements. Any prize substitution will comply with the Gambling Regulations 2026.

11. Privacy and publicity

Entrant details will be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, allocate entries, conduct the draw, contact the winner, transfer the prize, and publish the winner's name as required by law. Entry does not require agreement to receive marketing communications. VicDrift will not use giveaway entry data for unrelated marketing unless a person has separately and lawfully opted in. Winner photos, interviews and promotional video participation are optional and require separate consent. Information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the VicDrift website privacy policy.

12. Legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Participation in track activities is subject to separate event rules and safety requirements. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
